Youth

The purpose of the Youth Ministry at FPC is to assist parents in cultivating their teenagers’ love for the Lord Jesus Christ, the Church and the unbeliever. We want them grounded in the holy, inspired and inerrant Word of God, which is always relevant and never failing. We want them to know that they are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. In realizing this amazing gift of God, we want to see our young people serving as Christ’s ambassadors by serving others. We lay these foundational principles in the context of fellowship and fun. Our vehicles of ministry are:
- Sunday School
- Time: Sunday morning, 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.
- Study: Feeding on the Word: a Survey of Joshua through 2 Chronicles
- Teacher: Grant Carroll
- Youth Connection
- Time: Wednesday evening, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
- Study: What’s Life All About? by Scott Perry
- Small Group Leaders:
- Grant Carroll (Sr. High Guys)
- Maureen Boswell (Sr. High Girls)
- ________________ (Jr. High Guys)
- Camille Carroll (Sr. High Girls)
- Sunday Night Fellowship
- Time: The 1st and 3rd Sunday evening of each month, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
- Fellowship: There is no lesson taught at this gathering. We eat, discuss any questions regarding the evening sermon, and just have a good time together.
- Location:
- 1st Sunday: The Burge House (located behind FPC)
- 3rd Sunday: Hosted by a member of FPC
- Special Trips and Events
- Each quarter, we schedule a special trip or event designed to strengthen the youths’ faith in Christ and the group’s bonds of fellowship.
- In March, we attend the Against the Flow Conference, hosted by Twin Lakes Conference Center, in Florence, Mississippi.
- Each summer, we take our youth to the Jr. High and Sr. High RYM (Reformed Youth Ministries) conferences in Panama City Beach, Florida.
